Jetpack can check your spelling, style, and grammar using proofreading technology from After the Deadline.
The Jetpack Spelling and Grammar feature can proofread your content for spelling errors, misused words, grammar mistakes, and stylistic problems.
To enable this feature, go to: Jetpack Settings > Writing and enable Spelling and Grammar. You’ll see that there are a number of options such as whether to automatically run this feature whenever a post is published or updated. Otherwise, you’ll have to manually run it.
There’s also an option to automatically detect the language, and a number of specific options for people writing in English. You can click through to the help page for a detailed explanation of all the different configurations. You’ll also learn how to write rules to ignore certain phrases that you commonly use that may be grammatically incorrect but are appropriate for your specific content.
Once this feature is set up, you can go to any post and click on the “ABC” button to run the spelling and grammar proofreading feature. There are three types of messages you may get. A red underline means the word is misused or misspelled. The green errors are grammatical in nature, and the blue are stylistic errors or warnings.
Once you’ve made your changes, you can uncheck the box to continue typing. Or, to recheck the content, simply uncheck and then check the spelling and grammar box.
If you appreciate the value of proofreading your content, go ahead and enable the Jetpack Spelling and Grammar feature.
