Our story…
My name is Shawn Hesketh, and for 26 years I worked as a freelance designer, creating logos and branding solutions for my clients in and around the Greater Houston Area. In June of 2006, I discovered WordPress, and it was a game-changer. In the years that followed, I built dozens of custom WordPress sites for my clients, and to help them get up to speed as quickly as possible, I also provided onsite WordPress training.
But one-on-one WordPress training isn’t feasible at scale. So in 2008, I recorded the first WordPress 101 video ‘crash course’… originally intended just for my own clients. Soon, word got out, and several of my WordPress developer friends encouraged me to make the videos available as a membership site so they could send their clients to the WordPress 101 videos as well.
In the 12 years since, the WordPress 101 tutorial videos have helped millions of people all around the world learn how to use WordPress to create and manage their own website.
Today, WP101® is one of the most popular WordPress tutorial sites in the world, and has been widely praised as the gold standard for WordPress video tutorials.
